A. compactilis Juz. in Grossh., Fl. Kavk. ed. 1, 4:325 (1934). Syn: A. rechingeri Rothm. in Ann. Nat. Hofmus. Wien 54:27 (1944). Figure 1, p. 87. Medium-sized, with flowering stems up to 30 cm. Leaves up to 7 cm, orbicular with touching or overlapping basal lobes; lobes semicircular with no toothless incisions between; leaf teeth 7-9, subequal, ovate, acute. Stems up to and including the main inflorescence-branches and all petioles, ± densely clothed with deflexed hairs. Inflorescence narrow. Hypanthia glabrous, rather narrowly cuneate at base; pedicels glabrous. Fl. 5-7. Meadows, stream sides, 1100-2700 m. Described from Soviet Armenia, Satanachatsh. N.W., E. & S. Anatolia.
