A. spirizianum Mobayen, Revis. Taxon. Acanthol. 304 (1964). Figures 15 & 16. Map 61. Densely pulvinate shrublet. Leaves linear-triquetrous, 8-12 mm, pubescent or glabrous. Scapes slender, exceeding leaves, glabrous or puberulent in lower part. Spikes 1-2-branched, ± laxly imbricate. Spikelets 3-11, 8-11 mm. Bracts glabrous; outer bract triangular, 3-7 mm, 0.3-0.5 x inner bracts; inner bracts oblong-obovate, broadly rounded, mucronulate, hyaline except for vein. Calyx limb white, 5-lobed, sparsely pilose on veins; veins reaching margin. Petals deep pink. Fl. 6-8. Rocky limestone and serpentine slopes, mountain steppe, 1180-2700 m. 1.
