A. subsecundus Boiss. & Hoh. in Boiss., Diagn. ser. 1(9):54 (1949). Erect, scapose perennial with short, woody caudices. Leaves 20-30 cm; leaflets 10-20 mm, ovate to oblong, acute, obtuse or retuse, mucronate, glabrescent, 14-18-paired; stipules 10-12 mm, triangular-lanceolate, united glabrescent. Peduncles sparsely black and white adpressed-hairy, equalling or shorter than leaves. Flowers in lax oblong (10-)20-30-flowered racemes. Bracts 2-3 mm, ovate-lanceolate, membranous. Calyx 10-14 mm, tubular at first, later inflating slightly, with short sparse adpressed black bifurcate hairs; teeth 2-5 mm, triangular-lanceolate. Corolla pale yellow with lilac keel; standard 24-26 mm. Legumes 10-14 x 45 mm, narrowly ovoid, wrinkled, sparsely and shortly white-hairy; beak 2-3 mm, oblique or straight. Fl. 6-7.
