A. pseudoutriger Grossh. in Izv. Akad. Nauk Azerb. 1:43 (1941). Scapose perennial. Leaves 10-20 cm; leaflets 8-15 mm, ovate-oblong to oblong-lanceolate, subobtuse, glabrous above, sparsely simple-pilose beneath, 18-25-paired; stipules 8-11 mm, ovate-oblong to lanceolate. Peduncles l-2(-4) cm. Flowers pedicellate, in (2-)3-5-flowered racemes. Bracts 6-7 mm, linear to linear-lanceolate. Calyx 12-14 mm, tubular-campanulate, pilose; teeth c. 3 mm, linear-lanceolate. Corolla yellow; standard 23-28 mm. Legume 17-27 x 12-18 mm, ovaloid, inflated, sparsely villose, stipitate (stipe 3-4 mm); beak 4-7 mm. Fl. 4-5. Stony mountain slopes. Type: RSS Armeniae, prope Erivan, 28 iv 1936, Tranzchel (LE!). N.E. Anatolia. A9 Kars: nr. Kağizman (Grossheim 5: map 323). Transcaucasia, N. Iran. Ir.-Tur. element. Close to and possibly conspecific with A. utriger Pall, which, according to Komarov, is restricted to the N. coast of the Black Sea. A. utriger differs in its 10-16-paired leaflets and longer bracts (9-13 mm). Two Turkish records of A. utriger (B8 Erzurum: nr. Chasankala (Pasinler), Palandöken Da., 2500 m, 16 vii 1916, Saposhnikov, & B10 Ağri: Doğubayazit in jugo Czingil, 2000 m, Schischkin) probably refer to A. pseudo-ııtriçer. |
