Ascending perennial herb; stems 10-15 cm, densely hairy. Leaves 4-6 cm; leaflets 7-9 mm, linear-elliptic, spreading, simple-canescent, 6-8-paired; stipules c. 7 mm, lanceolate, joined only at the base. Peduncles 4-6 cm. Inflorescence an ovate, 15-25-flowered spike. Bracts 12-15 mm. linear-lanceolate. Calyx 14-18 mm, tubular, sparsely spreading simple-setulose; teeth 9-12 mm, setaceous. Corolla cream or yellow; standard 13-20 mm. Legume c. 10 mm. oblong, subcompressed, sparsely spreading-canescent. Fl. 6. Shaley slopes, etc., 1200-3100 m. Type: Armenia, Tournefort (iso. BM!). E.
