A. pumila (Steph.) Busch, Fl. Cauc. Crit. 3(4): 457, 465 (1909). Syn: Sisym-brium pumilum Steph. ex Willd., Sp. PL 3(1): 507 (1800); Drabopsis oronticum Stapf in Denk. Akad. Wiss. Wien, Math.-Nat. Kl. 51: 298 (1886). Annual 3-5 cm high, usually single stemmed. Basal leaves ± rosette-forming, few, with substellate hairs, obovate entire. Cauline leaves few, oblong, clasping stem. Inflorescence 3-10-flowered. Fruiting pedicels 3-6 mm, horizontally spread-ing or deflexed. Fruit ± densely covered with substellate hairs, c. 10 x 1 mm, defiexed or erect. Seeds many, uniseriate, mucilaginous. Fl. 5. Caves and salt steppe, c.1800 m. Described from N. Persia. Cilicia and Armenia. B9 Kars: Iğdir, salt steppe, Sauer 285/57!
