Leaves glabrescent, linear, median cauline (l-)2-4 x(0.l-)0.2-0.6(-l) cm, pinnatipartite, segments simple, 3-dentate or 3-lobed, cuspidate, loosely arranged, not imbricate, linear-lanceolate, rarely narrowly cuneate, margins entire. Capitula (10-)20-70(-100 and more), corymbs 2-5(-7) cm broad, peduncles absent or 0.5-4(-7) mm. Involucre ovoid to hemi-spherical, 3-4 x 2.5-4 mm. Phyllaries glabrescent, lanceolate to ovate, ± acute, inner with broad pellucid margins. Ligules 3-5, pale or golden yellow, 0.5-1 mm; disc flowers 20-35. Fl. 5-8. Steppe, volcanic rocks, 800-1900 m.
