Stem more than 1 cm diam. below, sulcate, ± sparsely hirsute. Lower leaves large, 1-pinnate, lamina over 40 cm long; leaflets usually 5, glabrous above, puberulent beneath, pinnately divided into ovate to lanceolate, bluntly serrate dentate lobes. Upper cauline leaves with ovate-oblong, ± inflated, retuse sheaths. Rays 20-50, unequal, 3-16 cm. Bracteoles linear-lanceolate. Flowers white, the outer radiant. Ovary hirtellous. Fruits cuneate-obovate, 13-15x6-7 mm, densely pubescent to villosulous; dorsal vittae clavate, ? as long as mericarp; commissural vittae 2, ? as long as meri-carp. Fl. 6-7.
