A specimen from A7 Giresun (Tamdere Köy, 50 km S of Giresun. 2400 m, 7 vii 1958, Markgraf!), which differs from typical A. cylindraceus in having smaller leaves (c. 2 cm), probably belongs to this species. The absence of bracteoles in A. cylindraceus and their presence in A. me Units is the only character that separates these two taxa. We have therefore reduced the latter to synonymy. |
