Two morphologically indistinguishable cytotypes (2n = 26, 28) were noted by Björkqvist (op. cit. 103,1968). The species has generally been united or confused with A. plantago-aquatica, and sometimes also with A. gramineum, so that most of the older literature record s cannot berelied on. Commoner in Turkey than A. plantago-aquatica. |
