A. stricta Rothm. in Feddes Rep. Beih. 100:80 (1938).   Stems 17-65 cm, straight, erect, rigid, adpressed hairy in the lower ½-⅔, glabrous above. Leaves suborbicular or orbicular-reniform, up to 13 x l5 cm, with open but not very wide sinus, glabrous above, adpressed hairy beneath, especially on the main veins and basal lobes, lobed to ¼-⅓, without toothless incisions; lobes parabolic or triangular; teeth 7-10, unequal, variable in size and form, the apical smaller than the lateral teeth; all the petioles densely hairy. Inflorescence ± contracted; pedicels glabrous, but the ultimate branches often with sparse hairs at the base of the pedicels. Flowers 3.5-4.5(-5) mm wide; hypanthia glabrous, sparsely subadpressed hairy or erecto-patent-hairy, even on the same plant; sepals and epicalyx lobes glabrous, acute, about the same length. Fl. 6-7. Marshy ground by lakes or streams, in Pinus forest, 1400-2050 m.   Type: [Turkey A9] Kars, Kagysman-Dere, 30 vi 1885/6, Massalsky (C).   N.W. & N.E. Anatolia, very scattered.
