  Height 10-100 cm. Stems obtuse-angled, woolly-pilose. Cauline leaves similar to basal, loosely pilose to densely sericeous or woolly; basal linear to lanceolate, incl. petiole (up to 5 cm) (6-)10-20 x (0.4-)l-4 cm, (2-)3-pinnatisect into linear to linear-lanceolate segments, rachis 0.5-1.5 mm, rarely toothed, ultimate segments 0.2-0.5 mm broad; median cauline 2-9 x 0.3-1.5 cm. Capitula 50-150 and more, corymbs 4-15 cm broad, peduncles 1-5 mm. Involucre oblong to ovoid, 4-5.5 x 2.5-4 mm. Phyllaries oblong to lanceolate, subacute to acute, with narrow, ± brownish scarious margins, pubescent or subglabrous. Ligules 4-6, white, 1.5-2.5 mm; disc flowers 10-20.
